2013 APR Bukit Batok Cosplay Competition, Bukit Batok Community Club, Singapore

A small cosplay competition at Bukit Batok Community Club.

It was well organised but the place was too small.

Quite a good number of cosplayers that turned up and also saw many of them that came down without their cosplay costumes to support the event.

I paid S$3 for the ticket that included food, drink and a lucky draw ticket, a winning combination.

Guest of honour for the event was Mr David Ong MP for Jurong GRC, he came on time.

Many thanks to all the cosplayers that posed for the camera without fear or favour.

2013 APR Nparks Playsets of Yesteryears, Raffles Place Park, Singapore

Singapore, 18 March 2013 - From today, the public will be able to relive their childhood memories of playing in parks at Raffles Place Park. For the first time, the National Parks Board (NParks) has launched a roving installation of play equipment that was popular in the ’70s and ’80s. These nostalgic playsets will be available for park visitors and office workers in the CBD to use for the next two months. One of many activities organised by NParks to commemorate 50 Years of Greening Singapore, the installation, named ‘Playsets of Yesteryears’, also features an exhibition on the history of 12 popular parks.

Before having my lunch and making my way to Shenton Way, I decided to go down to the Cenotaph to check it out as it was vandalised yesterday, 24 April 2013, Wednesday.

The cleaners were using pressurised water jet to remove the spray paint.
