2010 Blair Plain Conservation Area, Singapore

31 May 2010, Monday

While walking towards the KTM railway lines. I managed to pass by Blair Plain which is quite a popular place to take wedding photos.

It was nice to catch a lady painting a watercolour drawing of the area houses.

Located to the west of the Downtown Core, the area was given conservation status on 25 October 1991. It is an attractive residential area with some commercial activities along Kampong Bahru Road and Neil Road. It has compact cluster of two- and three-storey shophouses and residential terrace houses of the Early, Transitional, Late and Art Deco styles.

Information from URA website.
