2010 JUNE Sony Alpha NEX-5/ NEX-3 product launch, Singapore

2  June 2010 Wednesday

I have received the invitation for the Sony Alpha NEX-5/NEX-3 product launch at the Giraffe Restaurant and bar, Orchard Road, Istana Park, which is diagonally opposite The Istana.

Nice cosy restaurant which is after the busy Orchard Road shopping area. However, personally for me, I felt that the place was a bit small for the launch of the Sony NEX.

We were provided with free flow of soft drinks and finger foods.

There were two places to test and evaluate the NEX cameras, about four stations at the second floor and two stations at the first floor.

What caught my eyes was the Sony NEX-5 with the 18-200mm F3.5-5.6 OSS.  It is definitely smaller than my Nikon D90 and Panasonic GF1 that I am currently using.

What I really liked about the NEX-5 camera is the ability to tilt the LCD viewer so that I am able to see what i am shooting above the heads of other people.

We were given a Sony cap and NEX brochure as souvenirs.

Many thanks to Sony Singapore for organising the event (^_^)
