2010 Alenia Aermacchi M-346 for the Republic of Singapore Airforce (RSAF), Singapore

2 July 2010, Friday

I have been waiting for this news of the winner for the Republic of Singapore Airforce (RSAF) advanced jet trainer (AJT) competition and finally the result is out.

The RSAF will get the Alenia Aermacchi M-346 instead of the KAI T-50, with a contract for a total training system, including simulators and classroom trainers. The  aircrafts and trainings will also be based overseas.

Hopefully, we are able to get to see and photograph the M-346 in RSAF livery here in Singapore one of this day.

There is still no official announcement from MINDEF Singapore.
