2010 OCT First 24 km city route march and BMT Graduation Parade, The Float at Marina Bay, Singapore

2 October 2010 Saturday

This is the first time that a BMT graduation parade is being held at a public area, The Float at Marina Bay.

A total of about 3000 soldiers were involved in today’s parade.

However, before the BMT graduation parade, the soldiers were involved in a 24 km city route march from the SAF Ferry Terminal at Changi to The float at Marina Bay.

The route march started in the late Friday evening and ended in the early Saturday morning.

Personally, it is strange being on the other side of the fence through the lens taking photos of these young soldiers doing their 24 km city route march as two years ago, I was in the same situation doing a route march to Pasir Laba camp at 0400 hrs for my last reservist.
