2011 3 Huawei E585 Mifi, Singapore

25 January 2011, Tuesday

I bought this unlocked 3 Huawei E585 Mifi from the Hardwarezone marketplace priced at S$175, so that I am able to share the wifi with my iPad and iPhone 4.

As there are 3G signal blind spot in my office, I am quite impressed with the coverage of the wifi signal when used.

I would not go into a detailed performance review as there are better professional reviews from the established websites.

My 3G USB dongle through the years.

]2[ Lighted power button.

]3[ Push button to open back cover and lanyard hole at the top.

]4[ MicroSD slot, maximum of 32 GB.

]5[ Mini USB slot at the bottom.

]6[ Battery for Huawei E585 , HB4F1.

]7[ SIM slot.

]8[ Wired connection to the computer.

You are able to surf with the E585 connected to the computer minus the wifi signal. However, you still need to put in the battery. Without the battery, the unit is not able to draw the current from the USB cable and act like a normal USB wifi dongle.
