This is the last cosplay event for the year 2016.

The EOY Cosplay Festival is back in December.

I reached Marina Barrage at 1030 hours and there were not that many people.

The crowd only came in after lunch.

I have to say that the place was not that packed compared to last year.

2010 Unauthorised photo used by a Polish military website, Singapore

26 January 2010, Tuesday

There’ll always be someone who spoil market.

Found out that my photo of the interior of the Terrex was taken without authorise and the watermark cropped out by a Polish military magazine website.

2009 Bad Starhub customer service, Singapore

29 October 2009, Thursday

Last month in September, I called the SH hotline to cancel my 3G Ultimate Maxmobile broadband as I was getting another contract.

I found out this month, October, that my 3G Ultimate Maxmobile broadband was not cancelled. I called and emailed the SH customer service.

I received an email reply from SH that the relevant department will call me up.

What happened is that the lady CSO who did not cancel my contract called me back and my instruction to cancel my contract became an enquiry.

In the end, everything became my mistake.

The lesson here is to record the conversation with the CSO when calling in to SH.

SH did not commit to an answer by email and instead called me up by telephone as the customer has no evidence to prove what he had instructed the CSO to do.

The best part is that the lady CSO didn’t really listen to what I have explained and was busy typing in the background and gave the same reasons that my call was just an enquiry.

Thank you for your e-mail.
We have informed the relevant department regarding your concerns,
please be assured that they will follow up with you as soon as
possible. We appreciate your kind patience in the meantime.
Should you have any further queries on mobile services, please e-mail
us at this address or fax in to 6720 5000.

Warmest regards

2009 Starbucks Coffee Bearista

7 October 2009, Wednesday

I saw the Starbucks Coffee Bearista while in Malaysia for the performance by the USAF Thunderbirds.

The teddy bears have their own unique shirt for each country.

USAF Thunderbirds To Showcase Their Flying Skills In KL

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 17 (Bernama) — The Thunderbirds, a revered air demonstration squadron of the U.S. Air Force (USAF) will perform their aerobatic formation and solo flying stunts in specially-marked jets during an air show here on Oct 3.

The air show which would feature the Thunderbirds F-16 and C-17 aircrafts has been scheduled to take place at the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) Subang Air Base.

“The US Embassy is proud to announce the visit of the USAF Thunderbirds to Kuala Lumpur in partnership with the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF),” said the US Embassy in a statement here Thursday.

The statement added that the RMAF’s Sukhoi aerobatic team will also perform at the one-day show and that is open for members of the public, for free.

The Thunderbirds, based at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, Nevada, regularly tour the United States and much of the world, the statement said.

Information from Dzirhan, who is a Malaysian defence correspondent.

Just an update on things, the show is only open to public on Oct. 3, as NST Malaysia ran a story two days ago saying that that the displays will be on Oct 2-3, Oct. 2 is only opened to media, and invited guests of RMAF and US embassy so please pass the word around, would hate for anyone to show up and be turned away on the 2nd. The entrance to RMAF Subang is only one lane in and one lane out and much of the road in the base is similar so plan on being early in the morning to avoid any jam, I will find out what time the gate will be opened earliest.

Those who have been to Subang would know that generally there isn’t much of a covered space for the public so bring hats, umbrella and sunblock as it can get very hot out there. Sukhois will fly at the show, will be a flyby and C-17 will also do a flyby. Also make sure you have transport to go and leave as there isn’t much public transport (if any) out there.

The USAF Thunderbirds will be performing in the Far East, one of them is at RMAF Subang, Malaysia, on 031009 (Sat).

http://thunderbirds.airforce.com/schedule.html

However, specific details are still not known like the time of performance.

http://militarynuts.com/index.php?showtopic=2343&st=15

I’ve no idea how to go to RMAF Subang, Malaysia, by public transport as I don’t drive.
